I might be a bit quiet here for the next few weeks. We’re not moving house again, but I do get to leave the house for a bit.
Next week I’ll be in Athens, Greece for our annual company all-hands. It’s a new country for me with a company I haven’t been at too long and I’m really looking forward to it.
While I’ve only been at Fingerprint for about 5 months, sometimes it feels like I’ve been here 5 years. That’s not a bad thing. We’ve come a long way with my teams and, though we still have a long way to go, I’ve really enjoyed helping get where we’re at today.
It’s the first time I’ve travelled to a new country without Joy (I’ve been to Europe a few times solo, but always to places we’ve already been) which is a bit weird but I’ve promised her we’ll make up for that later.
After the company all-hands I’m going to take some much-needed down time, mostly with this computer off for a week or so. If I get to write some during that time, great, but it’s not my priority for a change and I’m excited about all of it.
