This post marks a week of this site being back on WordPress.
In that week I’ve produced 4 posts (including this one), edited the homepage and 4 other pages and approved a handful of comments.
I’ve worked on it from my Mac, my iPad and my Linux machine and been able to write where I want, when I want. That’s a far cry from my Hugo site in which anything but the most basic of posts would have to wait until I could get to my personal Mac.
When I moved this site to Hugo for the second time last fall I really thought I had worked out the issues from my first attempt and it would stick. I was wrong.
Never discount the need for the right tool for the right job. I don’t know if WordPress will be the permanent CMS for this site, perhaps next time I’ll look again at Ghost and other options, but moving my content back to a system that can actually manage content was absolutely the right move. The amount of updates to this site that I’ve finished this week confirm that.
