August Has Been a Heck of a Year

For this last post of August I can’t help but look back on the month and think about how much has changed and how much we’ve managed to squeeze in.

On August 1st I was still working for SuperFile and, though I was interviewing at Fingerprint, I really didn’t expect that to change for a while.

After receiving my offer at Fingerprint I left SuperFile on 7 August and started an unplanned two-week vacation. Throughout those two weeks we had a great time when our friends Dan and Nancy visited from Maryland. We hung out with my old team, spent a weekend at my Dad’s and even spent a weekend at Joy’s sisters.

We went to a birthday dinner with Joy’s family on the 8th and attended our nephew’s 4th birthday party on the 24th. We dined out, had too much to drink, attended museums and baseball games. I even rebuilt this website.

Then this week, on 25 August, I started a new role at Fingerprint.

I think I’ve done more this month than in the past 12 months combined and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of it.

Here’s to more exciting and rewarding times in our future!
