It’s been a busy few days.

We went to watch Cory Doctorow speak with Peter Sagal on Wednesday evening. This is the second time I’ve seen Cory talk about his books since we moved back to Chicago and it was worth it. For me the highlight was getting there too early (we walked from my office and weren’t sure how long it would take) and getting to chat with Cory directly for a while before the show started.

Last night we went out to our new local haunt, The Duke of Perth (supposedly Chicago’s “only” Scottish pub) where we were able to get a light dinner and enjoy some NA beer.

All this means I really haven’t had a chance to sit down and do much of anything since Tuesday.

I don’t see a quiet weekend ahead of us either. We will try to attend a protest tomorrow, if possible, and seem to have a host of errands stacked up from the previous weeks where I haven’t had time to do them either.

For me, I’m trying to get more comfortable with this level of busy. I’m an introvert at heart and need my quiet time so this new lifestyle really has been taking its toll (as if my blog hadn’t given that away). For now my ability to change this trajectory is very limited so let’s see if I can’t do something to be more comfortable with it instead.
