Another Weekend Has Come and Gone

Another weekend has come and gone.

This time of year we really don’t get out as much as we would like to. The weather just isn’t all that great in Chicago to be outside so instead we hang around the house most of the time.

This weekend was a bit different though. It was relatively warm for the start of February in Chicago (a high of 6C today) so we took advantage of the weather to walk to the Lincoln Park Zoo after which we took a bus downtown for some lunch (Pizzeria Uno) and spent the rest of the afternoon walking, comfortably, downtown until we took a bus home.

It was a welcome break at the end of a long, cold month and we loved every minute of it. Now I just wait until the weather is warm enough that we’re comfortable being outside every day.
